Vom 09.-12. September 2012 findet die 12th IAEE European Energy Conference "Energy challenge and environmental sustainability" in Venedig statt. Die FfE GmbH wird auf dieser Konferenz mit drei Beiträgen vertreten sein. Die zweite Veröffentlichung behandelt folgendes Thema:

Current developments show that the handling of energy has to change for supply as well as for consumption. For energy supply a change to renewable energy sources is targeted. However, from a consumer’s point of view, the efficient use of energy should also be addressed, for example by improved energy efficiency or load-shifting. But it has to be considered, that energy efficiency measures can either have either a positive or a negative impact on the potential for load-shifting.
Optimisation measures in the field of cross-sectional technologies offer an excellent possibility to increase energy efficiency. This is due to the fact that those technologies, such as heating and cooling supply, ventilation, compressed-air, illumination etc. are common in a majority of companies. Those cross-sectional technologies can also be used for load-shifting.
First pilot projects on demand response are already conducted in Germany. In these pilot projects various manufacturing and cross-sectional technology facilities from different companies are connected and operated in a flexible mode. The available energy is promoted as positive or negative balancing energy. Nevertheless, there have not been any statements, whether an increase of energy efficiency and a flexible shifting of loads interact with each other.
